Swimming Lessons

The boys are in swimming lessons at Pottawatomie Pool (well, I guess that isn't the name anymore - now it is Swanson Pool - but to me it will always be Pottwat) this summer. My mom comes with to help out in the water. Tuesday was our first lesson - there were tears - but it was chilly and cloudy outside. Our next lesson was tonite and the boys had a blast. We had a lot of fun doing our front and back floats, and "jumping" off of the wall into the water.

At the park

Chris and I took the boys for a walk tonite. We made a stop at the park - the boys had a good time on the swings.

Ryne really liked the swings! He was cracking us up.

Jack seemed to enjoy the swings.

8 Months Old

The boys are 8 months old today. Ryne and Jack are getting so big. Both of them are babbling nonstop - I love it! They also interact a lot more with each other - it is so cute. They are amazing little men! Ryne and Jack have such an infectious laugh - we love it.

Ryne is really moving now. He is definitely the cheese. He loves the camera! He already has his two bottom teeth and I think at least one more is coming in - on the top. Earlier this week, he figured out how to pull himself up on the ottoman - he really surprised both Chris and I. Ryne also loves to be under things - the exersaucer, the jumparoo, the table, the chaise, the high chair - anything - just like his mommy. As a child, I loved being under things - mostly the table. He has such a cute little smile and some really funny expressions. Ryne never stops amazing us!

Jack figured out how to crawl today - it was a very exciting day. He is also a happy little guy. He loves everyone. He has turned into a cheese - he sees the camera and it is an instant smile (most of the time). Jack also has his two bottom teeth, his one top tooth has poked through and is growing - I think that he has the other one on top coming in as well. Jack loves playing peek-a-boo; I think that he and I can play peek-a-boo for a half hour and he just laughs. Jack has the most beautiful smile - his whole face smiles. He is a great little guy.

Video of the boys

This was a video taken the other day. Soooo funny!

Playing Outside

I took the boys outside today for a little bit. It was beautiful outside. I laid out a blanket and we sat out in the front yard. Some of these pictures are so funny - I think that they tell the whole story!

Ryne wasn't too crazy about the grass - he cried whenever he touched it.

Jack really didn't seem to mind.

Wishing Papa Bear (my dad) a Happy Birthday!

My smiling Ryno

Ryne's new game...he loves to play underneath the exersaucer and the jumparoo. This time Jack just happened to be in the exersaucer.

Jack's CRAZY hair. Honestly, I brush it down after his bath and 10 minutes later- this is what it looks like. I love it!

Chris and I celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary on June 19. We went to Bloomington-Normal for the night. Grandpa and Grandma Becky watched the boys for us. Chris and I went to the Pub for lunch, then dinner at Biagi's, to Killarney's for a drink (that is where we had our first date), and then we went back to the hotel to relax. It was a very nice and relaxing weekend.

What else is new with us? Not too much. These two boys are keeping us plenty busy. We will start swimming lessons next week. I am excited about it! We are excited about the warm weather - now we can be outside and maybe even go to the park.
