36 week update!

Well, I went to the doctor today. Everything went great! I went and preregistered at the hospital so that on Tuesday the 4th - everything is done. After that I went to my high risk appointment - the heartbeats were great. Then they did an ultrasound. Today both of them must have felt very cooperative because they were both breathing, moving, and everything. To our surprise - Jack (Baby B) has turned himself head down! Which is great. Dr. K was so impressed that I made it this far considering 10 weeks ago - I was in the hospital!

Now I am trying to decide how I want to deliver. I am leaning more toward the c-section but I need to talk it over with my doctor. I want what is best for everyone considering how much the three of us (not to mention friends and family) have been through the past few months. I think that my delivery date will stay the same - I can't imagine going another month with these two! All I want is for them to be healthy. So that is my update. I will go to my other doctor tomorrow to discuss our plan. Then I go back to the high risk doctor on Friday. I will update more as needed! I hope that things are going well for everyone.

35 weeks 5 days

Well, things went great at the doctor today. I can't believe that I was in the hospital about 10 weeks ago! The babies had great heartbeats and they were both moving around and breathing! They were being a bit stubborn this morning, but it all worked out and they haven't quit kicking me since...which I guess is a great thing - at least I know that they are still active.

My next appointment is on Tuesday - so I will update things again then.

35 week Update

Wow! Week 35!

A few of you wanted to see a side view of me - there it is!

Chris and I went to the doctor this morning. Things went fine - both babies were moving around. Ryne was being a little difficult with his breathing - but all is well. Ryne's estimated weight was 4 lb 12 oz. Jack's estimated weight was 5 lb 10 oz. The doctor is going to check them again on Friday because of the weight difference.
At my regular weekly doctor appointment - things went fine again. She said that I was measuring well for 35 weeks. I go again next Wednesday.
It is hard for us to believe that we will have our c-section in 2 weeks from today! We are very excited about it though!

34 weeks 5 days appointment

Well, nothing much has changed. Nothing really new to report.

The boys are hanging in there. They both had strong heartbeats, and were breathing. Ryne is still head down and Jack is still breech. The doctors want to do an amnino test the day before the c-section to make sure that the boys' lungs are developed. But if I were to go into labor before then, they wouldn't try to stop it.

Sunday will be 35 weeks! Yeah!

The new washer and dryer

We got a fancy new washer and dryer. I guess that it is the small things in life that make me happy! Now I guess I have no excuse for the laundry not being done!

34 Week Update

Yeah for Week 34!

Who would ever have thought that I would make it this far after being in the hospital at just 26 weeks! I got great news from both doctors this week. I went to see my high risk doctors on Monday and they did a biophysical profile - which is basically hooking me up to the heartbeat monitors and doing an ultrasound to check for breathing, heartbeat, and movement. They also check the fluid levels. The boys did great just like always. They were kicking the monitors - my tummy was ALL OVER THE PLACE! But I was happy to see that they were active. I go back on Friday for another one - I guess when you hit 34 weeks, you graduate to seeing the doctor twice a week!

I had my normal OB appointment today (Tuesday) and things went well again. The doctor and I have decided to go ahead with a c-section. Jack (Baby B) is breech and there is only a 50% chance that he will flip or be able to be flipped, and I want the least amount of trauma to the boys - so we talked about that. He asked me when the high risk doctors wanted to do the c-section and how long they were going to let them "cook" and when I told him that they said that I would not be allowed to go past 39 weeks - I thought that he was going to fall over. He said would like to do it no later than 38 weeks. So he said that he would call them and talk to them today. He answered all of the rest of my questions and that was all good.

The nurse called me after my appointment and told me that my c-section is scheduled for Tuesday, November 4th. I will be a little over 37 weeks - so I am happy with that. It is exciting and scary at the same time. I love being pregnant - but I am looking forward to meeting the boys!

My News

I thought that this would be the easiest way for all of my facebook friends as well as others to get my updates. I will still send out my weekly updates - but this I am hoping will be nice even after the boys arrive (when I have time of course).
